Dragon Boat

Dragon boating at Mic Mac A.A.C. is offered throughout the day for groups wanting to participate in a boating adventure that is user friendly for all.  We provide all necessary equipment for groups of up to 20 per session.  Equipment includes life jackets, paddles, instruction, and a coswain.

We offer an eveing program for anyone looking to get some exercise and socialize.  There are three sessions per week usually Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings.  These sessions encourage proper technique along with teamwork and fun for adults.

Rowing

Rowing offers programs in both sweep rowing (single oar) and sculling (two oars) that caters to the beginner and recreational rower and also to those wishing to participate at the competitive level. The head coach determines times depending on demand and availability of equipment and coaching.

Canoe/Kayak

Canoe / Kayak offers programs for those age 5 on up to Masters.  There are recreational and competitive paddlers in the programs.  We offer lessons in both Canoes and Kayaks to every age group.  In our programs the athletes have the opportunity to compete in several regattas each summer.  The young athletes will concentrate on technique, water safety and sportsmanship while the emphasis of the high performance and elite level athletes will be to earn spots on several teams representing Mic Mac Amateur Aquatic Club, Nova Scotia and Canada.

Swimming

Swimming is offered as part of our regular program throughout the summer months.  We have a qualified swimming instructor who organizes and teaches the lessons scheduling lessons in between and around Canoe/Kayak lessons.  Lessons are offered up to Level 10.  Those above this level can make arrangements with the instructor for your requirements.
